Reduced Hospital Bed Time and Surgical Expense
Organ saving ‘Papillon’ treatment can reduce the need for radical surgery. Therefore reducing surgical expense and hospital bed time required for recovery.
The multi-modality Papillon+ system is capable of delivering radiation characteristics suitable for a number of clinical treatments.
The Papillon+ offers real added value to any Radiotherapy or Brachytherapy suite. With multimodal treatment applications, little or no capital expenditure on shielding and its mobile design optimised for use in the Operating Room. The Papillon+ is an effective but inexpensive addition to your radiotherapy department.
The Papillon+ is a low cost, mobile x-ray treatment delivery system. Capable of delivering multiple treatment options, including rectal cancer ‘Papillon’, Intra-operative and superficial (skin cancer) applications.
Based around an outpatient clinic set-up. The ‘Papillon’ treatment option offers reduced surgical and recovery (bed-time) costs when compared to other treatment techniques. Additionally, Papillon treatment can improve patient outcomes by avoiding a Stoma. As a result, nursing/care costs associated with an ongoing stoma can be reduced.
Patented X-ray tube technology can deliver up to 20 Gy/min with a 310° homogeneous beam ideally suited irradiation of surgical cavities (tumour bed). The Papillon+ system has been designed from the ground up to be cable-free and suitable for operation within the operating theatre.
Suitable for non-melanoma skin cancers. Our skin application is perfect for the ever-growing number of superficial cancer cases. We utilise an irregular field shielding technique to ensure quick treatment delivery without surgical costs. Consequently, this also frees up expensive LINAC and HDR-brachytherapy equipment time.
Our low-level shielding requirements, along with our Monitus remote door security and Prefectus on-board QA system, allow for safe room use without increased capital expenditure on treatment/operating room modifications.
